Mei Lu ,’’La donna orientale’’

Una rassegna che valorizza la femminilità del sol levante.
La mostra ospiterà la pittice Mei Lu che è altamente specializzata nella pittura delle donne degli inizi del secolo scorso in Cina.I suoi dipinti mostrano donne che si dedicano a scene di una vita quotidiana pacata molto visibile da come la pittrice coglie questi momenti in ogni gesto una serenità che fonda la cultura orientale e le sue donne.
Lo spettatore è invitato anche lui a vivere l’equilibrio che suggerisce la signora Mei nei suoi quadri,
I dipinti della signora Mei Lu sono stati esposti in diverse gallerie e musei di livello nazionale in Cina come quella del 2018, al Museo di Guangdong con il suo rotolo di 15 metri di lunghezza, che descrive la vita delle donne a Xiguan, l’area tipica di Guangzhou, dove si possono ancora trovare le vecchie case ricche con il design architettonico tradizionale del passato; La sua mostra più recente è stata con Hongkong Heritage Museum nel marzo 2019 con la serie di One Day in Hongkong, 1935.
A partire dall’11 luglio 2019, la sig.ra Mei LU ha iniziato il suo tour italiano con la sua serie più recente: La Donna Orientale. Questo suo primo tour italiano durerà per tre settimane, con mostre a Roma, Firenze e Perugia rispettivamente. L’Associazione Scambi Culturali Gui-Ya-Hui di Firenze è stata l’organizzatore generale di tutte le attività per la signora Mei LU.

Mei Lu ”the oriental woman”

Starting from Jul. 11, 2019, Ms Mei LU has started her Italian tour with her most recent series: La Donna Orientale. This first Italian tour of her will last for three weeks, with exhibitions at Rome, Florence and Perugia respectively. Gui-Ya-Hui Cultural Exchange Association from Florence has been the overall organizer of all the activities for Ms. Mei LU.

Besides exhibiting her works, Ms. Mei LU will meet Italian artists, visit great museums like the Vatican Museum and the Uffizi Gallery. She will also visit the Academia di Belle Arti in Italy.

The highly sorted-after painter specialized in painting the women from the early last century in China. They were from good and wealthy family with good education. However, her paintings are not emphasizing about their wealth, but about their tranquility and their peaceful spiritual status, through illustrating their daily life scenes.

We can tell their tranquility from their appearance, their postures, even from their backs, and their ways of walking…

Ms. Mei LU’s paintings have been exhibited at different national level galleries and museums in China.

Like the one in 2018, at the Guangdong Museum with her scroll of 15 meters long, describing the women’s lives at Xiguan, the typical area of Guangzhou, where you can still find the old rich houses with traditional architectural design from the past; Her most recent exhibition was with Hongkong Heritage Museum in March in 2019 with the series of One Day in Hongkong, 1935.

Ms. Mei LU’s paintings have shown the balanced lifestyle of a particular group of women from the beginning of last century in China, when the western ideas and education were introduced to China, however her paintings have been sorted after by modern people with good education,and with an emphasis on quality and balanced lifestyle. They are mostly the middle-class women. One of the possible reasons is because they wish they could live the similar tranquil lives described in the paintings.
